The Challenge The location for this role is flexible across EMEA so please do clarify your current work location in yoru application. We are looking for a technically focused Marketing Manager to join the business and lead the regional species segment from a strategic and technical perspective. You will develop species solutions that create additional value for customers and drives marketing campaigns to generate profitable growth underpinned by sales of specialty products and nutritional solutions in EMEA. The animal nutrition industry in EMEA is highly dynamic and diverse, presenting significant opportunities for DSM to further grow and extend its value proposition to customers. In developed markets the industry is consolidating, customer needs are becoming increasingly sophisticated around services, data and digital offerings driven by both economic and sustainability drivers and competition is intensifying. In emerging markets demand for animal protein is increasing and the industry is professionalizing, creating an opportunity for leading players to capture share. It is in this context that the Manager, Marketing Ruminants will play a key role in shaping the Ruminant business in EMEA, in a way that extends DSM’s ability to offer premium nutritional solutions and value-added services and positions DSM as a leader in the pursuit of more sustainable ruminant production in EMEA. Your mission is to: Deeply understands regional species markets, customer needs and business driversCo-develops the regional species strategy in alignment with the local markets and globalInteracts local markets to align priorities and to develop species activation plansEngages in account development activities with regional key accountsIdentifies opportunities to combine products, services and know-how into differentiated nutrition & health solutionsDevelops differentiated solution concepts substantiated by technical data and convincing argumentationPackages solutions into unique value propositions and sales-enabling material (working with MarCom)Executes species campaigns and activation plans with the local sales teamsManages regional species expert community (champions) and executing training and knowledge sharingOwns and project manages species-driven innovation projects and regional projects as part of regional fees & grants.
What experience are we looking for? Strong technical and nutritional background in ruminantsAt least a Masters degree in Animal Nutrition or related fieldBusiness background and interest in commercial business developmentFamiliarity with marketing concepts, tools and practices in a technical, solution selling environmentA business degree, certification or proven experience will be an added benefit
