Job Description Summary You will be working as a Technical Proposals Manager within the GE Renewables Commercial Operations department for GE’s Offshore Wind business. This role will have responsibility for a range of deals mainly in Europe with various customers.

Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role. Has significant control/influence over commercial priorities. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve outcomes required. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Technical bid development and negotiation. Owns the technical analysis of customer inquiries, RFQs, or tenders, to determine proposal requirements, scope of supply, and winning equipment configurations. Matrix leadership of technical team including Application engineering, EHS, product engineering, renewables product line and all other technical disciplines for proposalsCoordinate with the deal team the internal costing as well as supporting development of the technical offerPerform value optimization on deals accounting for competitive situationMobilize multi-functional teams including Risk, Project Office and Engineering functions to build the internal costing and technical offerSupport the preparation of the deal risk profile of the offer to the business for the necessary approvals to bidPresent the technical offer to the customer; take responsibility for drafting and negotiating the technical termsSupport achievement of Commercial Team metrics (on-time deals delivery…)Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses commercial experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited universityMinimum 5 years experience in Sales, Proposals or Project Execution or Windturbines Engineering
